Reyneke Organic Wines have recently been honoured with a hat-trick of accolades from three prestigious and diverse winetasting forums. Significantly four Reyneke Organic Wines (including two vintages of one wine) received these highly-acclaimed awards, illustrating the inexorable evolution in quality across Reyneke's entire range of wines. This emphatic endorsement of their wine quality represents a milestone for Johan Reyneke, who made the bold and ethically inspired move in the late 1990s to start the very slow
process of conversion to organic farming and the subsequent progression to biodynamic grape growing and winemaking. Johan has remained steadfast in his belief that organic and biodynamic wine farming is the route to coax the best wines from the earth, while remaining in environmental integrity.

1. NEDBANK GREEN WINE AWARDS
The awards seek to recognise green wine producers. Reyneke Organic Wines won the top three wine awards; Best Overall Wine, Best White and Best Red.

2. PLATTER'S SOUTH AFRICAN WINES 2011
Reyneke Organic Wines was honoured this year with their first ever Platter's 5-Star rating, which was the guide's first organically certified wine to receive 5-Stars.

3. TRI NATIONS WINE CHALLENGE
The 2010 Challenge, in September this year, was the 8th such competition between New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. As the 2010 Chairman of the panel said, all 360 wines (120 per country) selected to take part were world class. There were 125 medal winners in 13 categories, including 25 Gold medals for South African wines of which one was awarded to Reyneke Wines.
