Who We Are
Bateleur Eco Safaris is an owner-run lodge with a focus on exposing the magic of the African bush, buy providing guests with a variety of hands-on, interactive activities. A more educational slant is taken with all visiting guests, making the lodge's safaris ideal for first time visitors and rather different for seasoned safari-goers. Guests range from both foreign & local families, corporates and special interest groups. The day-to-day operations of the camp aim to make a minimum impact on the environment. All artificial watering holes have been closed as have all the roads which crossed over sensitive soils.
What We Offer
Activities offered at the lodge include early morning walks (from 1-5 hours), tracking, trailing & spoor identification; bush-craft - where guests are taught to light and carry fire, using techniques perfected by the San Bushmen, how to make rope from plants, as well as herbal remedies; afternoon drives with sundowners; astronomy; reptile presentations; tribal dancing; rhino micro-chipping and more! The Bateleur Eco Safaris corporate programmes have been run with huge success, using nature as a classroom and taking each company's individual needs and goals into account.
