Banking on a greener future

4 May 2012

Developing a reputation as the nation's ‘green' bank takes years of commitment - both
financial and physical. Which is why Nedbank Group is particularly proud of its ‘green
bank' status, and why it is committed to further entrenching this reputation through
ongoing environmental efforts aimed at making a lasting difference.

An Energy Efficient Future

8 Mar 2012

Nedbank has been tracking and monitoring its electricity usage since 2005, but the impact of rolling power blackouts and load shedding on business operations in 2008 prompted the group to intensify its focus on actively reducing its energy consumption levels. Over the past three years significant success has been achieved.

An Incredible Journey

16 Aug 2011

"Analysts and investors have commented on Nedbank's incredible journey. I see Nedbank returning to the top position amongst the four major banks in South Africa over the next ten years. I leave at a good time."
