Who We Are

Fasset is the Sector Education and Training Authority (Seta) for Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting and other financial services.

In terms of the Skills Development Act No 97 of 1998, as amended, Fasset's role is : "To influence the effective operation of the labour market, through effective skills development, so as to ensure appropriate supply of competent labour necessary to compete in the global economy."

Fasset is widely recognised as one of South Africa's top performing Setas.

Major achievements

• Fasset met all of its NSDS I and NSDS II targets
• Fasset has registered 30 Learnerships (these offer a range of entry and exit points for professionals and accounting technicians)
• 44 385 learners registered on Fasset learnerships
• 22 955 learners have completed Fasset learnerships
• 100% placement rate for learners who have completed Fasset learnerships
• 67 841 delegates have attended Fasset's lifelong learning interventions
• Over R350 million in funding has been allocated to Development Projects (Beneficiaries are in line with NSDS targets: 85% Black; 54% Women; and 4% people with disabilities).
• 11 442 individuals have benefitted from Fasset- funded Development Projects
