About Us:
International Training Solutions is a South African company with a unique combination of extensive banking and business knowledge and international experience. Our training courses are a careful blend of financial theory and practical application that is enhanced by our facilitators' real-world business and financial experience.
Services we offer:
Starting with the Financial Statements Basics course which is built around our highly interactive business game. Then progress to the Analysing Financial Statements course and learn how a slightly deeper understanding of financial concepts coupled with some easily calculated ratios can give clearer insight into the financial position of a business.
Our 15 years’ experience in financial training ensures that our courses are perfect for anyone who wants to understand and apply basic financial concepts.
Our Team:
The directors of the company, Geoff and Janet Burton, both have backgrounds in commercial banking and Geoff has been involved in training bankers and corporate managers since 1994. Geoff is also a member of part-time faculty at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) where he has lectured in financial management topics since 2002.

As a company we recognise that we have an obligation to help improve the lives of others who have not been so fortunate to have had the same opportunities that we have. Currently, we have three projects to fulfil this obligation;
School of Investments at CIDA City Campus
We are proud to be associated with the School of Investments at CIDA City Campus where, for 2 of the past 3 years, we conducted a Graduate Credit Skills Programme for a selected group of graduates at our own cost. This programme equipped the graduates with knowledge and skills that enabled them to be recruited by a bank to work in the Business Banking Credit function. We are delighted to say that the graduates who successfully completed the programme in 2008 and 2009 went on to build strong reputations in the bank for their knowledge, commitment, hard work and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, the economic downturn of the past two years meant that we could not offer successful graduates a position at a bank in 2010 due to a recruitment freeze, so the decision was taken to suspend the programme. We hope to revive the programme in December 2010.
Selang Primary School
In July 2010 we funded the provision of over 200 lapdesks to schoolchildren at Selang Primary School in Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria as many did not have the use of a desk in the classroom. Since then we have formed a strong on-going relationship with the school and are actively engaged in redecorating the classrooms, providing equipment and re-vamping the school's general infrastructure.
Tshwaraganang Orphanage
In August we heard of Tshwaraganang Orphanage which is very close to the school in Hammanskraal. This institution receives no government funding and is run by some remarkable people who devote their lives to the health and welfare of up to 48 abandoned and abused children. We provide funds on a monthly basis for food, clothing etc and we are actively working with the management of the orphanage to improve the general infrastructure and facilities.

Since its formation in 1996, International Training Solutions (Pty) Limited has successfully trained thousands of bankers on four continents to understand and assess financial information. In South Africa the company has provided training to all the major commercial banks and is currently engaged by three of the "big four" in their Business and Commercial Banking segments.
