Our CSI dream

"Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mineworker can become the head of the mine and that a child of farmworkers can become the president of a great nation." (Nelson Mandela)

We're dedicated to uplifting, educating and encouraging dreams of disadvantaged individuals in our nation through our Corporate Social Investment initiatives:
• CIDA City Campus
CIDA City Campus is South Africa's first and only virtually free university offering tertiary education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds since 1999. Over 4 years, LRMG has donated the equivalent of R12 million worth of e-learning and training material to this non-profit institution in support of their efforts to educate students. Our user-friendly system has been well received by the students and has enriched their classroom experience greatly.

CIDA believes that they can become a model university in the world, making best use of fully blended and integrated learning methodologies that deliver outstanding value and ensure not just a better overall learning experience for students, but fundamentally an increase in pass and mark achievement rates.

We support the students of CIDA City Campus in their right to dream for a brighter future, and through helping them with courseware material and guidance, our hope is that they make their dreams come true.

• Londolozi Project
The vision of Londolozi is: "To be a place and a space where people become the best version of themselves while creating a world-class adventure experience based on a culture of service, African theatre, learning and the opportunity to leave a legacy."

We believe in their dream, and so, helped set up Mavoningo IT, a company we support in the running of a Digital Literacy Programme in Londolozi.

We donated world-class IT training, DVDs and soft skills training in order to provide key community members with the knowledge and skills they needed to become facilitators. These facilitators currently ensure that Grade 7 learners complete ES Certification, Grade 12 learners complete ICDL Certification and that many teachers and other community members complete ES and ICDL Certification.

In addition to the Digital Literacy Programme, LRMG has also been involved in providing educational tools to disadvantaged individuals in both Londolozi and Phillipolis. We worked alongside the Good Work Foundation in educating people through the donation of ‘Lessons from the Wild' - learning that is designed to assist in empowering community members with essential business skills (such as leadership and teamwork).

At LRMG, we believe that we have a responsibility to contribute to the growth and development of our nation's disadvantaged people. We know that through educating and upskilling communities, we're helping them to dream bigger, believe more and achieve their greatest potential.
We continue to add value where we can through initiatives like donating computers to disadvantaged schools, providing audio visual material to a children's home and through running the JP Morgan Challenge (this 5km race's proceeds go to a nominated charity every year).
We will always strive to do what we can to live our company dream: to help shape the future of individuals and organisations in Southern Africa and beyond.

Our empowerment
The LR Management Group is dedicated to empowerment and we are 51% black owned. We have, for a number of years, been rated by the Empowerdex rating agency on the generic scorecard.
We have a certified AA Empowerdex rating and are a Level 3 contributor to BBBEE as per the DTI's gazetted Codes of Good Practice. Our empowerment dream over the next 3 years is to move to an AAA status.

This means that not only do our clients receive recognition of 110% for their procurement spend with LRMG, but owing to us being rated a value adding enterprise we can offer enhanced recognition of 1.25 times for companies that are also value-adding suppliers.
