About Us:
The Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA) is one of twenty-three statutory bodies established within the legislative framework of the Skills Development Act, 1998. The HWSETA has been established to facilitate skills development in the health and social development sector to ensure that the skills needs are identified and addressed through a number of initiatives by the SETA and the sector.
Services we offer:
The Corporate Services Division provides critical support to the HWSETA and its core divisions with regards to the formulation of policies and procedures, development and maintenance of systems thereby contributing to the creation of a work environment conducive to effective performance by employees and Board members.
Specifically the division seeks to:
* Manage accountability for achieving best practice in people management and implementing HR policies
* Recruit and retain capable and talented people, who are adaptable, motivated and involved in fulfilling
HWSETA's vision, mission and roles.
* Promote the HWSETA as an " Employer of Choice"
The Division comprise of four sub-divisions directly reporting to the Executive Manager.

The mandate of the divisions is to ensure staff complement and capacitate staff to be able to meet the
legislative mandate of the HWSETA

• Traditional healing sectors
• Veterinary sectors
A challenge for the HWSETA is the establishment of new employment ventures.
