About Us:

MERSETA, the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority, is one of 23 SETA's established through the Skills Development Act [no. 96 of 1998]. It facilitates skills development in the following sub - sectors:

•Metal and engineering

•Auto manufacturing

•Motor retail and component manufacturing

•Manufacturing

•Plastics manufacturing

Together the five sub-sectors comprise approximately 44 000 companies, with a workforce of approximately 600 000.
The total levy income is approximately 700 million rands.
