Who We Are
Quirk Education specialises in the synthesis of knowledge from partners like Quirk and BrandsEye, converting it into practical learning for marketers and entrepreneurs. Our educational material is delivered in the form of textbooks, online courses and workshops. The knowledge we share is based on practical, real-life experience and is recognised as the latest available knowledge from a new and evolving field.
Our courses have been successfully completed by over 700 students. Our textbook, eMarketing: The Essential Guide to Digital Marketing is used in some 375 universities and colleges around the world. Two of Quirk Education's courses- Digital Marketing and Applying Social Media to Business Challenges- are endorsed by the University of Stellenbosch Business School. Quirk Education is also endorsed by the Digital Marketing and Media Association.
Services We Offer
Quirk Education specialises in the synthesis of knowledge into material that is practical, applicable and accessible to working professionals and graduates wanting a career kick-start and small businesses needing to leverage the power of the Web better. Interaction with the students takes place via the Quirk Education learning centre-an online platform designed to facilitate easy interaction between the students themselves, as well as the students and course convenors.
The course material is presented online in various formats which include, course notes, video lectures, discussion forums, weekly assignments and recommended reading.

Donation of courses to SASDI:

Quirk Education donated more than R50 000 worth of courses in February, 2011, to the Southern Africa Sustainable Development Initiative (SASDI), an organisation that focuses on fundraising, project management and leadership development within impoverished communities.
Eight University of Cape Town students working with SASDI enrolled in Quirk Education's Quirk Certificate Course in Digital Marketing - the most relevant form of digital accreditation in and outside the marketing industry.
The organization aimed to give the eight students first-hand experience of working on live projects to garner skills not readily available at tertiary education institutions.
Lyndi Lawson, Managing Director of Quirk Education said "Social responsibility has always been the driving factor behind our work ethos at Quirk. Rob Stokes, founder of Quirk, has always maintained that education is the foundation of success. Of course, much of the Quirk Education team heralds from UCT and we were thrilled to be aiding students from our alma mater, whilst possibly making a difference to the people who benefit from SASDI's work."

Donation of textbooks to CPUT:
Quirk Education has also donated 240 textbooks to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Maharishi Digital Marketing class:
Quirk Education created and taught a Digital Marketing class, in partnership with Dave Duarte at the Maharishi Institute of Management in Johannesburg, in 2009.
Quirk Education is an online training academy which means that all of our course materials are delivered online and students submit assignments via the web. We also offer a free PDF version of our brand new Digital Marketing textbook online.
We offer distance learning courses and students are not required to attend classroom sessions. Travel is therefore lessened, reducing carbon emissions. We encourage students to make use of online versions of their course notes, reducing the amount of printing that needs to be done.
Finally, Quirk Education encourages and practices recycling within the workplace. Where possible we source environmentally friendly office supplies.
