Maserumule Consulting recently received a Star 4 Bronze grading from the Services Seta which recognises that:

As part of its transformation Maserumule Consulting focuses on the following:
An internship programme for students from designated groups who have completed a course in labour law and who are contracted for a year to accompany our professional staff to employment related interventions e.g. arbitrations, negotiations, training workshops and consultations with the purpose of providing them with practical experience, knowledge and exposure. Through this program we invest in the development of these students in order to assist them to position themselves for their future careers.
In addition, we accommodate one final year student from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (previously Peninsula Technikon) for a period of three months as part of their practical training.
Maserumule Consulting has awarded a 4th year LLB student (coloured female) at the University of the Western Cape with a bursary in respect of tuition and book fees for the Advanced Labour Law Module for 2010.
Maserumule Consulting also supports The Tygerbear Foundation as part of its corporate social responsibility. The TygerBear Foundation has developed a unique model for the psycho-social treatment, training, supporting and prevention of trauma suffered by all members of the community (from children to care-givers) leading to the empowerment of the individual. These traumas include survivors of malnutrition, illness, neglect, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, gang violence, HIV/AIDS and Cancer. (www.tygerbear.org.za)

It is not uncommon for employees to report for duty while under the influence of alcohol. In dealing with this issue, employers should distinguish between three situations: employees who are under the influence of alcohol when reporting for duty (i.e. intoxicated); those who consume alcohol while on duty; and those who have a blood-alcohol level in excess of the legal driving limit when reporting for duty.
