Southern Business School has been leading the way in the development and delivery of management education and making ground-breaking progress in providing accessible distance learning solutions since 1996. From its inception in 1996, Southern Business School has dedicated itself to making a positive difference in the lives of not only our students but of all those who call Southern Africa home. Southern Business School is fully committed to supporting community engagement initiatives which are sustainable and empowering.
In order to accomplish the ideal of making a positive difference in people's lives, Southern Business School established a non-profit organisation as one of the primary vehicles for community engagement. The NPO, named Iphandezomupilo educational foundation, meaning "roots of life", has a vision and mission to facilitate people learning and leadership through sustainable interventions within the parameters of the Millennium Development Goals's in an inclusive manner. Iphandezomupilo educational foundation is an independent entity working under the Southern Business School umbrella.
The Centre for Management and Leadership Development (CMLD) is an organisational unit within Southern Business School.
