ECHO for Children Foundation was established in 2007 with the intention of supporting and educating children from disadvantaged backgrounds. ECHO endeavors to raise funds by hosting a charity event each year. ECHO believe that with the correct implementation and management of corporate and private sponsorship, we can assist in making a difference.

Monday, 19 March 2012: As 35 000 cyclists braved Cape Town's scorching heat to complete the Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour on Sunday, 11 March 2012, 40 Virgin Active Angels on Suikerbossie hill were on hand to offer a much needed push as cyclists geared up for the last stretch to the finish line.

Tuesday, 31 January 2012: East London played host to the 2012 Ironman 70.3 triathlon in fine style on Sunday 22 January as 2 939 athletes were put through their paces facing a grueling 1.9 kilometre swim, 90 kilometre bike ride and 21 kilometre run. Marino Vanhoenacker from Belgium crossed the finish line in record time claiming the title in the men's division, while Jodie Swallow from Great Britain claimed the title in the female category.

October 2011: Cartoonito had a brightly coloured and exciting presence at the annual Cape Town International Kite Festival, which took place on the 22nd and 23rd of October 2011 in Muizenberg. ECHO, in conjunction with Turner Broadcasting, hosted the Cartoonito Story Telling Corner in the Boomerang marquee. The theme for this year's festival was "Uplifting Mind and Body" and was proudly hosted by Cape Mental Health and Heart 104.9FM.

HOUT BAY, 19TH August 2011 - Members of the Iziko Lo Lwazi Community Centre in Hout Bay were invited to a screening of Viva Las Vegas by TCM Pop Up Cinema and ECHO Events. Visitors enjoyed a relaxing afternoon and were treated to popcorn and refreshments whilst they journeyed into the life and times of Elvis Priestly and classic Las Vegas. Pop Up Cinema is a new film screening concept in South Africa which allows people to immerse themselves into the very heart and soul of classic film.

Racing red, 1950's convertible sports cars and car guards waving checkered flags set the scene for Viva Las Vegas on Thursday, 12th May 2011 at Vaudeville, Cape Town. Cinema goers walked into an interactional cinematic scene- A haughty Count, two greasy mechanics and Rusty and Lucky discussing the upcoming Grand Prix. TCM, formally known as Turner Classic Movies, POP UP CINEMA had arrived, bringing Las Vegas to the Mother City.

Thereafter, afternoons were reserved for leisure.
