Rainbow All Stars Academy

The Rainbow All Stars Academy is a non-profit organisation, started by community developers Tom Mayisa and Dolphus Maisa in 1996.

The organisation seeks to help young men, from the age of 16 to 25, who are homeless. Many grew up on the streets or in institutions. They come from poor, often abusive families and most have lost both parents.

These young men do not have IDs and have no way of finding employment. After many years of working with them Tom and Dolphus know that the one thing they respond to best is sport. Playing football brings out the best in these youngsters and gives them a sense of belonging and achievement.
