Who We Are

Fish River Lodge offers the ultimate, exclusive Fish River Canyon experience. It is the only lodge situated directly on the rim of the
Canyon with breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset, also offering access down into the heart of Africa's largest gorge.

The Lodge is uniquely designed with dry-packed stonewalls and large windows through which to contemplate 300 million years of
geological history. Set in the 45 000 hectare Canyon Nature Park, including 75km river frontage, this is incredible hiking country.

There are trails descending into the canyon, strolls along the rim or guided drives. Black eagles enjoy the thermal updrafts and fascinating desert adapted plants thrive in this unique eco system. Rare mountain zebra and elusive klipspringer, oryx and kudu roam the remote valleys and side canyons, whilst Cape clawless otter, fish eagle and other waterloving species inhabit the permanent pools along the river.
